When this bank was built in 1924, it was the country's largest. Its size and façade, however, don't give proper indication of the grandeur inside. Fashioned after Rome's great basilicas, the bank is astounding in scale and detailing. Especially impressive are massive marble columns that support more than 30 acres of floor space beneath a three-story ceiling. The spectacular structure, now part of a 22-story office and corporate complex, is not to be missed.
