On Friday, August 14, at Fowler’s Mill Golf Course, 13095 Rockhaven Road, Chesterland, 44026, retired Cleveland Cavalier and NBA Hall of Fame Member, Nate Thurmond, will be visiting his former home in Cleveland for the 2nd annual Ben Thurmond Memorial Golf Outing.
The cost to play is $175 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, lunch, dinner, prizes and a silent auction. Tee Time is 11:00 a.m. Non-golfers can enjoy cocktails, dinner and a silent auction for $55 per person. Company packages are also available.
Along with Thurmond, former Cavalier teammates Campy Russell and Bingo Smith will attend the event. Last year’s event raised more than $20,000 to benefit Hospice of Cleveland Clinic.
Thurmond hosts the event in honor of his brother Ben who was a patient of Hospice of Cleveland Clinic for over a month while battling cancer. Thurmond was unable to attend last year’s event due to illness and is looking forward to participating this year.
