Description
Locals get a kick out of telling newcomers about Free Stamp in front of City Hall. This public sculpture, a huge stamp-pad spelling out the word "Free," was a gift to the city from the BP Corporation. Tour guides jokingly assert that it's the only free attraction in town. Nowadays, the attraction, designed by noted artists Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen, has become a requisite photo op for visitors to the area.
